Stress & Burnout
Space to step back from pressure at work or home, understand what is driving it and find a more sustainable pace.

Recognising stress and burnout
Some stress is part of everyday life. When pressure builds without enough rest or support, though, it can start to affect your health, your mood and your relationships. Burnout often develops slowly. You might feel exhausted no matter how much you sleep, cynical about work you once cared about, or unable to concentrate. Many people keep going for a long time before they notice how depleted they have become.
What we can explore
In therapy we can look at the demands you are facing and also at the beliefs and habits that keep you pushing on. These might include perfectionism, a strong sense of responsibility for others, or difficulty saying no. We can also think about what helps you recover and what gets in the way of rest.
Sessions are a chance to slow down and reflect, rather than another item on your to-do list. Some people use this time to make practical changes. Others want to understand why they find it so hard to put themselves first.
Fitting therapy around your life
I offer daytime and evening appointments, in person in London and online, so that sessions can fit around work and other commitments. If you are currently signed off work, therapy can also be a supportive part of your recovery.
We will also pay attention to early warning signs, so that you can notice when pressure is building and respond sooner. Over time, many people find it easier to set limits, ask for support and make room for the things that restore them. The pace and focus of this work will always be shaped by you.
When to reach out
It might be time to reach out if:
You feel tired most of the time, even after a break
Work or caring responsibilities leave little room for anything else
You feel detached, irritable or cynical more often than before
Concentrating or making decisions has become harder
You notice headaches, tension or other physical signs of stress
Rest feels uncomfortable or you feel guilty when you stop
