Life Transitions
Support through change, such as a new job, a move, becoming a parent, retirement or the end of a chapter.

Navigating change
Life rarely stays still. Starting university, changing career, moving to a new city, becoming a parent, coming out, separating from a partner or retiring can all bring a mix of excitement, uncertainty and loss. Even changes we have chosen can be unsettling. You might find yourself questioning who you are, what you want or how you fit into the world around you.
Making sense of where you are
Therapy can offer a steady point while other things shift. We can explore what this change means to you, what you are leaving behind and what you hope for next. Sometimes a transition brings up older feelings or patterns, and it can be helpful to understand these too.
You do not need to have a clear goal before you start. Many people come with a sense that something feels different or unsettled and want space to think it through with someone who is not involved in their day-to-day life.
Moving forward at your own pace
Our work might be short-term, focused on a particular decision or period of adjustment, or longer-term if you want to explore things in more depth. We will review how things are going regularly so that sessions continue to feel useful to you.
Change can also be a chance to reflect on your values and what gives your life meaning. Some people find that a period of transition, while uncomfortable, opens up new questions about how they want to live. Therapy offers space to explore those questions honestly, without needing to rush towards an answer or please anyone else.
When to reach out
You might find it helpful to talk if:
You are facing a big decision and feel stuck
A recent change has left you feeling unsettled or lost
You are adjusting to a new role, such as parent, carer or retiree
You feel a loss of identity or direction
Others expect you to feel happy about a change but you do not
You want to make sense of a period of your life before moving on
